This does not seem to change the project name in the url.

Unfortunately, the URL does not change when changing the name of the Project.

The URL is set from a project identifier other than the Project name and it cannot be changed at this time.

None of the projects I want to rename are listed here.

    This doesn't work for me

Impressive. How come a tool for devs lacks of the simple and obvious?

From the hub - projects I should be able to rename the projects. It's disappointing that one cannot change the name, delete a project, it's like designing a car with no seats. For years it wasn't implemented, that speaks a lot of the quality of the product and poor the design team imagination and short minded understanding of what they do every day.

    Hello Manuel,

Thank you for your comment and for providing your feedback on managing projects. It is always great to hear from our users about what we can look to improve upon in future updates.

Although your projects are opened via the Hub, they cannot be edited from there. Depending on if any Unity Services are being used for your projects will determine where they can be managed, as this article details.

If no services are enabled, you can freely change the name of the project by renaming the folder stored on your machine.

If there is anything else you need in the meantime, please feel free to email us at support@unity3d.com or alternatively, you can submit a ticket via this web form.

Thank you for publishing this how-to article.
For the situation: "Project name stored only on your machine (no Unity Services enabled):"
Why is it so complicated? Why can't I just rename it in the Unity Hub?
(Same goes for duplicating a project: Why are there so many steps?)

For locally stored projects, the name shown in the Unity Hub is the name of the project's root folder in your OS. If you wish to change this you need to change the containing folder’s name and re-add it to the Hub.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I agree these basic functions could be streamlined and will raise this with the Unity Hub team.

Andrew Toth, It's not convenient to have a useless option in unity. It just makes other options hard to find. To rename a folder, you just simply rename the folder, how hard is that? This is a software for developers, developers should know how things work.

This is such an easy option to add. Some of us can't rename the folder without affecting the repository.

I don't want to change my whole repository branch naming just to be able to not have my main branch named Project Main in hub.
