Symptoms:
- I want to sign in to the Unity Editor.
- I want to make an Asset Store purchase or download.
- I need to sign in to the Unity website so that I can manage my details and licenses, post on the Forums, or purchase a subscription.
Cause:
The Unity Editor and websites require an account to be used for access.
Resolution:
You can sign into the Unity Editor and the Unity website using a Unity ID.
If you don't already have an account, you can create one at id.unity.com. If you already have an account, you can also use this page to sign in.
Alternatively, you can use your Google, Facebook, or Apple ID to create an account for your email address. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click on the sign-in page's Google, Facebook, or Apple ID login option.
- A pop-up for whichever option you select appears. Select Continue.
- Enter your existing Google, Facebook, or Apple ID account details to create an account and sign in.
If you encounter login issues without any specific error messages, it may be a temporary browser issue. You can try resolving it with the following methods:
-
Clear Browser Cache:
- Delete your browser's cache and cookies. Outdated files can occasionally cause loading issues.
-
Check for Browser Updates:
- Ensure that your browser is up to date. Updated browsers can prevent compatibility issues.
-
Try a Different Browser:
- If possible, try accessing the page using a different browser to see if this resolves the issue.
-
Disable Extensions:
- Temporarily disable any browser extensions that might interfere with page loading.
If the issue persists after trying these methods, please reach out to our Customer Experience Team with detailed information about the problem.
More Information:
If you sign in with a Google, Facebook, or Apple ID account using an email that is already associated with a Unity ID, you are asked for your Unity password to link the two accounts together. This avoids any confusion that having multiple accounts might cause.
If your Facebook account is not confirmed, or you did not allow Unity to receive your Facebook account email, then the sign-in will fail. The solution for this is:
- Try again after your Facebook account is confirmed
- Go to Facebook, under Settings>Apps>Logged in with Facebook>Unity, and check your email.
Unity also offers SSO for Enterprise customers only. For more information, see the article, 'How do I enable SSO for my Unity organization?'.
