Welcome to Multiplay! We’re glad you’ve chosen to work with Multiplay to scale your game into the cloud. You’ll find all the information you need to get started in this document, including the integration flow, integration requirements, account registration, how to get help, and other resources.
Learn about the Multiplay API, allocations, reservations, fleets, mods, profiles, game images, and game servers.
Initial integration
During the integration process, we’ll discuss the integration requirements, test your game server binary against the requirements, and create a proof-of-concept fleet for your game. We’ll need you to supply us with your game server binary and (optionally) your game client binary. We may also ask you to make adjustments to your game binaries based on the results of the evaluation report.
Account registration
Register a Multiplay account for you and your team members.
Binary evaluation
During the evaluation stage, we’ll make sure that your binary meets all the prerequisites and requirements of integrating with our platform. After we complete the evaluation, we’ll give you a Clanforge Evaluation Report with the results and our recommendations.
Metrics and playtest
Once we received and evaluated your server binary (and, optionally, your game client executable), we’ll help you conduct a playtest.
A playtest is a process in which you test a game for bugs, integration problems, and design flaws. The playtest we conduct is more geared towards testing the integration between your game and the Multiplay services.
After the playtest, you’ll receive a Commercial Metric Report that details the results of the playtest and our recommended configuration based on our calculations.
Proof of concept (POC)
Once we’ve completed the pricing model and ordered a build machine and a fleet machine, we’ll move on to the proof-of-concept (POC) stage.
During the POC stage, we’ll supply you with a fully configured fleet, fleet regions, a build machine, and one or more fleet machines. Don’t worry about keeping track of all the information; we’ll supply you with a document that contains your service identifiers, which includes your fleet ID, profile ID, mod ID, game image ID, etc. We’ll guide you through your fleet configuration and answer questions about Multiplay, Clanforge, or our API.
Next steps
Once you’ve received your POC setup, you’ll want to learn the ins and outs of managing your account, updating your game, optimizing your game, and how to get support.
We’ll introduce you to the Cloud Customer Success team, invite you to a dedicated Slack channel, our service desk, and send you a list of support resources.
