SpeedTree is a middleware solution that makes digital trees very fast.
Specifically, it can quickly model and export 3D visualizations of vegetation and flora through the use of procedural generation. Procedural generation is governed by rules and parameters set by the user.
SpeedTree assets are compatible with both game and visual effects (VFX) workflows, depending on:
- The type of asset the user makes.
- The package the user uses.
- The export methods the user uses.
Currently, SpeedTree is sold in two different versions, SpeedTree Games and SpeedTree Cinema, with four revenue tiers among them. The four revenue tiers are Learning Edition, Indie Edition, Pro Edition, and Enterprise Edition.
