- I accidentally purchased the wrong asset
- I would like a refund so that I can purchase the correct asset
We all make mistakes from time to time. In this case, it may be that you have been looking at two assets at the same time, but accidentally purchased the wrong one, or perhaps you had multiple assets in your basket and didn't realize this whilst checking out.
If the asset in question was not created by Unity, our Customer Service team will not be able to issue a refund without having approval from the Publisher, as the asset is not owned by Unity, simply hosted by us.
In this case, we recommend reaching out to the Publisher of the asset you wish to refund directly to request this authorization. You can find the Publisher's contact details on the Asset Store page where you made your purchase.
Please bear in mind that due to the physical impossibility of returning digital products, all sales are final, as specified in the Asset Store EULA, which all Asset Store customers have agreed to. Therefore, if your reason for a refund doesn't fall within the set criteria in the Asset Store EULA, it is entirely at the Publisher's discretion whether to agree to a refund.
If the Publisher approves a refund, they will contact us with your Invoice number and the name of the asset. After we have received their authorization, it can take up to 10 days for the funds to return to your account.
Duplicate purchases which may be caused by server errors or a blip in connectivity locally can be refunded by us directly, however, please note that duplicate purchases are not to be confused with accidental purchases.
If you have made a duplicate purchase through no fault of your own, please contact Customer Service, so that we can process your refund.
