Symptoms:
- How do I update my email address?
- My old email address or domain no longer exists.
- I want to change the email address associated with my Unity account.
- How do I update my Asset Store email address?
- I need to update my Unity login email address to match my PlayStation® Developer account details.
Cause:
There are different reasons why you may need to change the email address associated with your Unity account. For example, the email you initially used belongs to a company or institution you no longer are part of, or perhaps you decide to have your account linked to another email address.
Additionally, your Unity and PlayStation® account's email addresses need to match in order to receive support and access to essential PlayStation® developer tools.
Your Asset Store email address and Unity ID email address are one and the same. To update your Asset Store publisher information, see the Asset Store publishing guide.
Note: If you misspelled your email address when creating a Unity ID, or you do not receive your confirmation email, contact the Customer Experience team. |
Resolution:
You can change the email address in your account settings by following the below process:
Note: The new email address cannot be associated with another Unity account. |
- Navigate to id.unity.com, and sign in using your Unity account credentials.
- Under the My Account Settings header, select Edit (pencil icon) to the right of your email address.
- Enter your account password and select Next.
- Enter your new email address and select Next. You receive a confirmation email to the new address. Click the link contained in the confirmation email to complete the process.
Your email is now updated.
If you have forgotten the password or the system sends a security code to your email, contact the Customer Experience team.
If you have lost access to the current email, please include one piece of private information and one piece of public information to confirm your identity.
Examples of private information include:
- Name of a Unity Organization that you're a member of.
- Name of a recent Asset Store purchase.
- A recent invoice or order number.
- The name of one of your Unity Cloud projects.
Examples of public information include:
- The telephone number currently associated with your Unity ID account.
- Your Unity Username.
- Your full, physical postal address.
