Sign up for DevOps
To get started with Unity Version Control, you need to sign up for DevOps first. For how to do so, see the article, ‘How do I sign up for DevOps?’.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is a Unity Version Control System (UVCS) organization?
After you sign up for DevOps, you receive an email named ‘Welcome to Unity DevOps’. The email contains instructions for integrating DevOps with your projects.
DevOps has two components, Unity Version Control and Build Automation.
For Unity Version Control, after you sign up for DevOps, you must create a Unity Version Control System (UVCS) organization for you to get started.
A UVCS organization is a data center to which you connect your servers. It is nested under the Unity organization that has the DevOps subscription.
Please note: only one UVCS organization is allowed per Unity organization. |

How do you access your Unity Version Control System (UVCS) organization?
- Sign in at https://cloud.unity.com/

Invite members to the UVCS organization
Although the UVCS organization is nested under your Unity organization, the team members in your Unity organization are not automatically synchronized in your UVCS organization.
As such, you need to invite your team members to your UVCS organization manually.
Currently, Unity DevOps provides three (3) seats in the free tier, meaning that you can invite up to three (3) members to your UVCS organization for free including yourself. Keep in mind that you obtain one extra seat for each Unity Pro/Enterprise seat assigned to your organization.
If you want to invite more members to your UVCS organization, you need to add more DevOps seats. For how to do so, see the article, ‘How do I add seats to my DevOps subscription?’.
