Symptoms:
- I am unable to update credit card information for Unity DevOps
- I do not have access to billing settings in the Unity Version Control account.
- I can't change the payment method for my Unity version control subscription
Cause:
If you are unable to change the payment method for your Unity DevOps service, there might be a few reasons for this:
1. You do not have a Unity ID to log in to the cloud platform.
2. You have not been added to the organization the DevOps service is under
3. You are not the owner of the organization.
Resolution:
- Navigate to cloud.unity.com and sign in with your Unity ID credentials.

Using the left-hand menu, select Administration.

Using the left-hand menu, select Payment methods.

Click the blue Add payment method button.

Input your payment method details and click on Confirm to complete the process.
Important: The information provided here is your invoice billing address. To change your shipping information, see the article, 'How do I add both the 'Bill To' and 'Ship To' details to my Unity Organization?'. You will see a $1 pending authorization charge appear on your chosen payment method. This returns back to your account within 72 hours of successful authorization.
- Your new payment method is automatically set as your default payment method. To change this, select Set as default > Confirm to ensure payments are automatically taken from your requested payment method.
Note: Payment instruments cannot be completely removed from an active subscription. |
Important Notes:
- You must be the owner or have billing admin rights for the organization to edit billing details.
- Being an Admin on Version Control alone is not sufficient to make these changes.
