Cause:
Unity Muse chat is available in the Unity Editor. To use the Muse Chat Editor, please install the Chat package by following the instructions in this article.
Resolution:
The Unity Muse Chat package for the Unity Editor is available from Unity 2023.3(Unity 6) or later.
| Note: Please ensure you assign a Muse seat via Unity ID before using the Unity Muse. |
Install the Chat package
- Create a new Unity project or open an existing one.

In the main menu, go to Window > Package Manager.

The Package Manager window opens.

To find the package, go to Add > Add package by name.

In Name, enter com.unity.muse.chat, then select Add.

Muse Chat is listed under Package Manager's In Project > Packages - Unity section.
Start using Chat
- Click “Muse” in the menu bar.
- Select “Chat” to get started.
If you experience permission errors, please make sure you are using the Unity organization in which you have the Muse seat assigned in Project Settings > Muse.
