Symptoms:
- I am not able to access Muse through the Unity Editor.
- When downloading Muse chat from the package manager it says I don't have the entitlement.
- I am getting a "Try for free" message when trying to use Muse chat from the Unity Editor.
- I already signed up for the Muse trial and Unity is not recognizing it.
Cause:
The current Unity Muse trial is meant to be used on new Unity Hub and Unity Editor versions.
For this reason, it is asking some users using older versions to sign up again or to buy a Muse subscription from the webpage.
Resolution:
To resolve this issue follow these steps:
- Update your Unity Hub to the latest version.
You can do this from the Unity Hub interface, where a banner message will prompt you to update. Click on "Restart now" to initiate the update.
- Make sure to Install the Unity 6 Editor version.
You can find this under the Installs tab on your Unity Hub.
- Once the installation finishes, you should be able to download Muse as described in the Trial email.
