Question
What is the "bastion" referred to in the Genvid SDK documentation?
Answer
A bastion host is a specialized server that is the only part of a network system exposed to the outside.
It monitors the incoming traffic and prevents malicious traffic from passing into the protected part of the system. This minimizes exposure to potential attacks while allowing needed communication.
For the Genvid SDK, the bastion host supervises the other services the SDK requires and monitors how they're working.
The Genvid SDK documentation also contains a glossary of terms we frequently use related to integrating and using Genvid technology. The latest version can be found here
