Symptoms:
- UModeler causes lag when editing a mesh after UModelerizing.
- Unity pauses when using UModeler.
- Unity crashes when using UModeler.
Cause:
You converted a high-poly mesh to a UModeler mesh using UModelerize.
Resolution:
UModeler is designed for low-poly modeling, which means that up to 7K polygons in a mesh can be taken care of by UModeler. The maximum number depends on the PC specification you’re using. If you try to edit a mesh with more than that number of polygons, it could pause Unity or cause lags.
You should only use UModeler for editing low-poly or middle-poly meshes. The recommended polygon number is less than 2-3K polygons. This number could also depend on your PC specification.
