Vivox: How do I get approved for NDA protected platforms (PS4, PS5, Xbox, Nintendo)?

Scenario

Consoles have strict NDA guidelines, Thus we won't be able to send certain packages to anyone who requests Vivox packages. Please follow this guide to obtain required files that are behind NDA.

 

Resolution 

Unity Cloud Dashboard

  1. In the Unity Cloud Dashboard navigate to the Vivox Voice and Text Chat product page under Shortcuts.
  2. From the Vivox Voice and Text Chat landing page, select Packages & SDKs.
  3. Select Request access for the SDK you want access to.

Follow the steps presented in the pop-up. Repeat the process for each SDK you want to access.

While the submission is sent please follow these steps, So we can validate that you have indeed signed an NDA with your specified consoles.

 

PlayStation 4

To request access to our PlayStation 4 SDK packages, documentation, and forums, complete the following steps.

Note: The review process is usually completed in 1 business day. After-hours submissions will be processed the next business day.

  1. Go to the Vivox Tools and Middleware Verification page on your PS4 Dev Net account: https://ps4.siedev.net/tm/verify/vivox.
  2. Select Confirm status. This sends an email to Vivox that confirms your status.
  3. Sign in to the Vivox Developer Portal.
  4. On the Downloads page, select the PlayStation 4 platform from the list, and then select Get Access.
  5. In the pop-up that displays, enter the email address from the PS4 Dev Net Tools and Middleware Verification page, and then select Request Access.
    For example, if the page said "The email will include your email address (newuser@happyapp.com), so that Vivox Inc. can contact you.", you should enter "newuser@happyapp.com".
  6. Vivox will review the information that is received from PS4 Dev Net, and you will be notified if you are approved or rejected.

PlayStation 5

To request access to the Vivox PlayStation 5 SDK packages, documentation, and forums, complete the following steps.

Note: The review process is usually completed in 1 business day. After-hours submissions are processed the next business day.

  1. On your PlayStation 5 DevNet account, go to the Vivox Tools and Middleware Verification page: https://p.siedev.net/tm/verify/vivox.
  2. Select Confirm status. This sends an email to Vivox that confirms your status.
  3. Sign in to the Vivox Developer Portal.
  4. On the Downloads page, select the PlayStation 5 platform from the list, and then select Get Access:

Xbox SDKs

To request access to our Xbox One SDK packages, documentation, and forums, complete the following steps.

Note: The review process is usually completed in 1 business day. After-hours submissions will be processed the next business day.

  1. Sign in to the Vivox Developer Portal.
  2. On the Downloads page, select the Xbox One platform from the list, and then select Get Access.
  3. In the pop-up that displays, enter the name you are registered under with the Xbox Live Creators Program, and then select Request Access.
    For example, your Vivox Developer Portal organization might be named Super Happy Fun Games, but you are registered with the Xbox Live Creators Program as Fun Games, LLC.
  4. Vivox will review the information that you submit, and you will be notified if you are approved or rejected.

Nintendo Switch

To request access to our Switch SDK packages, documentation, and forums, complete the following steps.

Note: The review process is usually completed in 1 business day. After-hours submissions will be processed the next business day.

  1. Sign in to the Nintendo Developer Portal: developer.nintendo.com.
  2. Select Getting Started.
  3. In the menu on the left side of the screen, expand Nintendo Switch > Middleware, and then select Voice Chat.
  4. In the Vivox info box, select the Learn More link.
  5. Enter the following information, and then select Submit.
    • Name: Your name
    • Email Address: Your email address that you use to log in to the Vivox Developer Portal
    • Job Title: Your organization name on the Vivox Developer Portal
  6. Sign in to the Vivox Developer Portal.
  7. On the Downloads page, select the Nintendo Switch platform from the list, and then select Get Access.
  8. In the pop-up that displays, enter the email address that you entered into the Email Address field on the Nintendo Developer Portal, and then select Request Access.
  9. Vivox will review the information that is received from the Nintendo Developer Portal, and you will be notified if you are approved or rejected.
