Symptoms:
- I received an email stating: "You have used 90% of Storage - Unity DevOps."
- I am encountering messages about overage usage while using DevOps.
- I am looking to reduce storage usage or cancel the DevOps subscription.
Cause:
Free DevOps users can exceed the monthly free limit of 5GB or 3720 GB-Hours per month. This triggers automatic emails to warn users as they approach their monthly free limits.
Resolution:
Unity DevOps users are charged per GB/hour, which means that you are charged for the storage used and for the time you use it.
The DevOps free tier is 5GB/hour = 5GB * 24 hours* 31 days = 3720 GB-Hour a month. If you are near this threshold and do not want to go over, you can take the following actions to manage your storage:
- Reduce storage consumption:
To reduce the total consumption, refer to this guide: How to remove content from the cloud server and reduce consumption. - Delete Build Automation History:
To delete your Unity Build Automation history, follow this guide: How do I delete my Unity Build Automation (UBA) history?
Additional Notes:
The storage consumption is reset at the start of each billing month, so it starts counting from 0 again.
These emails are sent whenever the organization reaches the thresholds, so if you upload 5GB one month and leave it there, the next month it will warn you that you have reached the 50% in two weeks, the 75% in three, and the 90% in 4, approximately, each month. This happens even if you don't upload new content.
