Issue:
- I cannot select Xcode 15.3 or later in the configuration menu for my build target.
- The list of available Xcode versions only shows up to Xcode 15.2 with no options for newer versions.
Environment:
Xcode 15.3 and 15.4 have recently been made available with Xcode 16+ not far away as of the creation of this article. All users should now have these versions (15.3/15.4) available in the configuration menu for IOS builds in the Unity Build Automation service.
Cause:
The most frequent cause of this issue is that the correct operating system is not selected. To use the latest versions of Xcode we need to select the MacOS Sonoma builder operating system.
Resolution:
To see the selection for the newer versions of Xcode, you must first be sure to select MacOS Sonoma - Silicon from the Operating system menu. With this option selected, you should now see the options for Xcode 15.3 and 15.4 (as well as any newer versions).
If you have the correct OS option selected but do not see the new Xcode versions or if you do not see the option for macOS Sonoma (on a Mac builder), please reach out to the Service Support Team via the "Help and Support" option from the Build Automation menu, so the team can investigate further.
