Symptoms:
- Users added to an organization in Unity Dashboard cannot access certain project services.
- The user appears on the Project Members page but is unable to perform specific actions within the project.
- Services like Economy, Analytics, or other project-specific tools are inaccessible despite organization-level access.
Cause:
Although users inherit privileges from the organization level, project-specific access must be granted individually. Without explicit project membership, users may appear as members but lack permissions for certain services.
Resolution:
To grant full project access to users, follow these steps:
- Sign in to the Unity Dashboard.
- Select Projects from the main menu.
- Choose the relevant project and navigate to Project Members.
- Click on Add Members.
- Select the users who need access and assign the necessary role.
This process will ensure that each team member has the required permissions for all project services.
More information:
Adding a user at the organization level does not automatically provide full access to project-specific services. For complete permissions, ensure that users are both added to the project and assigned appropriate roles within each project individually.
