Question:
How can I copy a cloud repository to a local server or vice-versa?
Resolution:
To clone a cloud repository to the local server using the Desktop app GUI, you need to follow these steps:
- Go to the "Sync Repositories" view.
- Create a new sync view.
- Set the local repository as the source repository.
- Set the cloud repository as the destination repository.
- Run a pull or a push as needed.
IMPORTANT: The local repository must be set as the source, or the sync will not work, as it is not discoverable by the cloud server. If the sync were to be made between two cloud repositories, then it wouldn't matter which one was set as the source.
In the example above, the local server is at the "localhost:8087" address. That is because this machine has a full on-premise server working.
If you are using the cloud version, then the local server would appear only as "local".
