Need access to Unity’s Xbox Developer Forums? These forums are a valuable resource for registered Xbox developers to network, troubleshoot, and share insights. Access isn’t automatic; you’ll need to be a registered Xbox developer with Microsoft and request Unity development access through your Microsoft account manager. Once approved, Microsoft will grant you access. If you see an error accessing the forums, contact your account manager for help. Start here: ID@Xbox Program
Cause:
Forums are useful tools for interacting with other developers, solving common problems, and networking. The Xbox forums are a dedicated area of Unity Discussions, but access to them is not granted automatically. Users must first be approved before they can participate.
Resolution:
Unity has a dedicated forum area for our Xbox developers, available here.
To gain access, follow this process:
Become a registered Microsoft, Xbox developer.
First, you’ll need to be a registered Xbox developer. This means you’ll have a Microsoft account manager and access to the Microsoft Game Developer Network website. If you’re not already registered or working with a registered publisher, you may be able to sign up via the Independent Developer (ID) program:
http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/developers/idEnsure you have the correct subscription
A Unity Pro, Unity Enterprise, or Unity Educator/ Student subscription is required to access the Xbox developer forums on Unity Discussions. Ensure that your Unity account has the correct subscription and that a valid license seat is assigned.Confirm your status with Unity and access the forums
After you are registered and confirmed as an Xbox developer, you can verify your developer status with Unity via the Secure GDK Middleware Request page.
After confirming your developer status, you receive an email from Unity inviting you to log in with your Unity account. That account has access to the Xbox forums on Unity Discussions, where you can download Xbox add-ons for your version of Unity and receive technical assistance.
