Symptoms:
- I want to work with my friend on my project.
- I want to share a project with my friend and work together.
- I previously used Collaborate, but now I can't share my project with friends.
- A project was transferred to me via Unity Cloud and now I am unable to download it.
Resolution:
You can now share your projects with colleagues and take advantage of Unity Version Control (DevOps). This powerful, engine-agnostic tool helps game development teams collaborate, track changes, roll back to earlier versions, and more.
To start collaborating on your Unity project, follow these steps:
- Sign up for DevOps following the steps in the article 'How do I sign up for Unity DevOps?'
- Connect your project to your DevOps organization. You can do this from the Unity Hub by clicking on the three dots and selecting 'Use Unity Version Control'.
- Assign a seat to your friend in your project repository by following the steps here, and you can then start working together using our DevOps Getting Started Guide here.
You can add up to three (3) team members to your repository and upload up to 5GB for free. If you exceed these limits, the system will prompt you to add a credit card.
