Symptoms:
- My educator status verification has taken more than five business days and I'm unsure of the status of my application.
- My educator status has not been verified immediately after applying for the Unity Educator plan.
- I have been asked to upload additional documents after signing up for the Unity Educator plan.
Cause:
After applying for the Unity Educator plan, SheerID need to verify that your academic credentials are valid for each year that is applied for. This process can take up to five business days.
Resolution:
In most cases, verification should be instantaneous. If you have been prompted to upload additional documents, you will receive an email from SheerID when your verification is complete.
If your verification takes longer than five business days, please contact SheerID directly.
If you used two different emails for verification purposes, please make sure to check both of your email inboxes for confirmation of status, as well as separate instructions on how to activate your educator benefits.
