Unity offers free access to professional tools for educators to teach and share projects, with eligibility based on institution type and country. Teachers at accredited degree-granting institutions worldwide or K–12 teachers in the U.S. qualify via SheerID verification. K–12 teachers outside the U.S. should apply for the Educational License Grant. The Educator plan is for individual use, while the License Grant covers shared school hardware. The plan is unavailable in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Iran, and Syria.
You are eligible for the Unity Educator plan if either of the following applies:
- You are employed as a teacher at an accredited degree-granting institution.
- You teach grades K–12 in the United States.
In both cases, you verify your eligibility through SheerID, Unity's verification partner, as part of getting access.
If you teach K–12 outside the United States

If you need licences for shared school hardware
