Unity ended Collaborate in 2022 and shifted some storage benefits to Plastic SCM temporarily. Storage Pack 25GB is now deprecated; owners must contact support to cancel, and should add billing to avoid outages.
Unity Collaborate was officially sunsetted in 2022, and users were advised to manually migrate their projects to Plastic SCM.
The benefits for some of the services associated with Collaborate, like Storage Pack 25GB, were temporarily moved to the Plastic SCM subscriptions. However, these services are being deprecated.
In addition, Unity has introduced a new and enhanced Version Control system called Unity DevOps. This system works in parallel with Plastic SCM, offering more advanced features and capabilities for managing your projects.
| Important: You must be the organization's owner to complete this process. Canceling your Storage Pack subscription does not cancel your Plastic SCM or Unity DevOps subscription. You will continue to be charged if your storage or seat count exceeds the free tier for Unity DevOps or Plastic SCM. |
It's important to note that once your Storage Pack 25GB subscription is canceled, the 25GB of additional storage benefit will no longer apply to your Plastic SCM subscription going forward.
If you want to keep your Plastic SCM subscription active along with the data stored in the cloud, please ensure that you have added a valid card to your Plastic SCM dashboard to avoid data loss or service outages. You can do this by visiting the following link: ttps://www.plasticscm.com/account.
Finally, consider exploring Unity DevOps for enhanced version control capabilities.
