Symptoms:
- Do I need to display author information for Unity-chan in the credits when using Unity-chan and its asset data in a project?
- Is it mandatory to include the UCL logo when using Unity-chan assets?
- Does incorporating Unity-chan into a project involve royalties or profit sharing?
Cause:
When incorporating Unity-chan and its asset data into a project, it is necessary to follow the Unity-Chan License Terms, which requires displaying the UCL logo in the project's credits or other appropriate locations.
Resolution:
You are free to use Unity-chan as long as you do not engage in activities that harm the brand value of Unity-chan (e.g., using it in sexually explicit content is prohibited). According to the Unity-Chan License Terms, you must display the UCL logo when using the assets.
For other asset data (such as weapons, costumes, animations, etc.) that are not part of Unity-chan, the 'Asset Store Terms of Service and EULA' applies. In this case, displaying the UCL logo is not necessary.
