Symptoms:
- I purchased Unity Industry, but when trying to use the Pixyz 3.0 version, I am getting an error message.
- I already got my Unity Industry seat assigned but I am unable to use the Pixyz plugin.
- Every time I try to use the Pixyz plugin it gives me a "NoValidLicenseExecption" error.
- I am getting an "Unable to initialize Pixyz" error message.
Cause:
Users with a Unity Industry license may encounter error messages when attempting to utilize the Pixyz Plugin 3.0. Despite having an assigned Unity Industry seat, the following error messages may appear in the Unity console:
"NoValidLicenseException"
"Unable to initialize Pixyz"
"Exception: Token not found"
These errors typically occur when the Unity Hub or Unity Editor is not updated to one of the latest versions. The Pixyz Plugin 3.0 requires Unity Hub version 3.8 or newer and Unity Editor version 2022.3 LTS or later to function correctly.
Resolution:
To resolve this issue, update your Unity Hub to the latest version. You can do this from the Unity Hub interface, where a banner message will prompt you to update. Click on "Restart now" to initiate the update.
Once that is done, go to the Installs tab on the Unity Hub and install one of the latest Editor versions as well.
After updating the Unity Hub and Editor, you should be able to use the Pixyz Plugin 3.0 without encountering the aforementioned error messages.
Note: Ensure you are logged into the correct account associated with your Unity Industry license.
