Symptoms:
- I cannot access the invoice(s) for my Asset Store purchases.
- I need my Asset Store invoice to access a publisher's support site.
- An Asset Store publisher wants proof of purchase. How do I get this?
- I can't download an old Asset Store invoice.
- I was given a free asset. Where is my invoice?
Cause:
Sometimes, Asset Store publishers require proof of purchase before providing technical support.
You may no longer have access to the email account to which your original invoices were sent, and you would like to download your asset invoices.
Resolution:
There are two options to access your asset invoices:
Option 1
All Asset Store invoices are sent to the below two email addresses automatically.
- Your Unity organization's billable owner's email address.
- Your Unity organization's email address.
You can retrieve the invoice(s) from these email accounts.
Usually, the billable owner of an organization is the user who created the organization. More information can be found in the article, 'What can Owners, Managers, Users, and Guests do in an organization?'.
To check your Unity organization's email address, please follow the instructions in the article, 'How to rename an Organization?', to see your organization details.
Option 2
You can download your Asset Store invoices via your Asset Store account by following the steps below:
- Sign in with your Unity ID at assetstore.unity.com.
- Click your initials in the top right corner of the screen.
- Click Order History (or Organization Orders) from the drop-down menu.
- Click the invoice number next to the asset title to download the PDF.
Note: Free assets and assets purchased using a voucher do not generate an invoice.

If you cannot download your invoice, please contact our Customer Experience team and include the below information so we can help you further:
- The asset's name(s).
- The email address used to purchase the asset.

There is no invoice number shown in the order history.
Hi Global English,
Thanks for reaching out.
I can see that you have sent a request to Support yesterday (#856579).
Support Team will grab it and send you reply by the end of today.
Thank you.
looks like it takes about 5-10 minutes for the invoice to appear in your order history.. would be nice to have some indicator there "<generating invoice..>", so that no need to start searching for it.
Hello there, thank you for your comment!
I am sorry for any inconvenience caused by the invoice delay.
Just to make you aware, when you purchase an Asset from the store, the Billable Owner will be sent a confirmation email with a copy of the invoice attached for your records. This email is typically sent instantly by our system, so you should be able to get your hands on the invoice that way with no delays.
I hope this helps. If you need anything else, please feel free to contact our team again!
Option2 is incorrect:
The Order History doesn't show asset titles, just a date, OrderId and an option to 'View Order Details'. This page really needs a search by Asset Name option. Or the asset page itself needs a direct link to its invoice. Each asset's page already says "You purchased this item on... write a review", why not a link from there to its invoice?
To make things worse, I've found instances of the date given on the asset page not matching the order history. i.e If I use the date given on the asset page and laboriously click through the pages on my order history to find the Order matching that date, the asset isn't actually listed when I 'View Order Details'.
This really is a mess. As asset store publishers are understandably wanting to cut down on piracy, more and more of them are relying on verification by InvoiceId. Please make this system actually usable.
