Symptoms:
- I have a node-locked license but I know that I will have to change my workstation during the year of use of the license.
- I have just received a new machine and want to install Pixyz software on it.
- I am planning to upgrade my computer soon and want to know how this will impact my license.
Resolution:
If your machine ID has not changed, you can activate your license again from the License Management tab of your account (Offline mode: select the Download button).
If your machine ID has changed, for example, if you have a new computer, or you changed important parts of it, you must first release the license from the old computer (or prior to making changes) and activate the license (online or offline) on the new computer.
For more information on releasing activations, see the article, ‘How do I release a purchased Pixyz license?’.
If you can't release the license because your old computer is broken, for example, contact Unity Support.
