How do I assign a Unity subscription license seat to a user?

Before activating a license, the Unity organization's owner or manager must assign users a license seat.

Every Unity ID has a unique license key. A key is not generated until a seat is assigned to a user, and another Unity user cannot activate the license key.

Subscriptions housed in cloud.unity.com

1. Navigate to cloud.unity.com and sign in using your Unity ID credentials.
2. Using the left-hand menu, select Administration > Subscriptions.
   
3. Click the three dots next to the subscription you want to manage, then select Assign seats. (Note: If you cannot see your subscription here, it may be housed in the Unity ID portal. Click here to jump to your resolution.)
   
    

4. Check the box next to the user(s) you want to assign a seat to, then click Assign seat(s).

   

A small pop-up in the bottom right corner indicates the seat has been successfully assigned. The user receives their license key via email.
 

1. Sign in to your Unity account at id.unity.com. 

2. Select Organizations on the left side of the screen.

3. Select the organization linked to the subscription to which you would like to assign the seats.
   

4. Select Manage (cog icon) to the right of your Unity subscription. (Note: If you cannot find your subscription listed on this page, it may be managed through the new system. If so, click here to jump to your resolution.)
   

5. Select the Manage seats tab.

6. Click the box to the left of the user's name(s)/ email address(es).

7. Click the blue Assign Seat(s) button.
