How do I increase the number of seats on my subscription?

The article explains how to add seats to a Unity subscription when more team members join. Only the Unity organization owner can add seats. For subscriptions at cloud.unity.com, users sign in, go to Organization settings, select the subscription, add seats, and complete checkout. For subscriptions at id.unity.com, users sign in, select Add Seats, choose the organization, add seats, review, and finalize the purchase. Invoice details cannot be changed after purchase.

Cause:
You may have had more members join your project or team and need to add more seats so that they can use the Editor.
Only the owner of the Unity organization that purchased the subscription can add seats to it.
 
Resolution:
 
The resolution differs depending on where your Unity subscription is housed. If your subscription is housed under the Unity ID portal (id.unity.com), click here to jump to your resolution. 
 

To add seats to an existing online subscription housed at cloud.unity.com, follow the steps below:

Note: The following steps are for online subscriptions only. If you purchased your subscription offline through the Unity sales team, contact your client partner directly to buy additional licenses.

  1. Open your organization settings.
    Sign in to cloud.unity.com with your Unity ID, then select Organization settings (the gear icon) in the top-right corner. This opens the Administration panel.

  2. Open your subscription.
    In the Administration panel, select My Products (under Products in the left menu). On the Subscriptions tab, select the subscription you want to edit.

  3. Select Add seats. (Note: If you cannot see your Pro subscription here, it may be housed in the Unity ID portal. Click here to jump to your resolution.)

  4. Using the plus (+) button, increase your seats by the desired number. Ensure your billing details are correct before proceeding. Read the Unity Terms of Service & Unity Privacy Policy > check the box to confirm you have read the terms > click Continue to checkout.
  5. You're taken to the checkout screen to finalize your purchase.
  6. Providing the purchase is successful, you see a confirmation message appear with information about the next payment date and the amount due. Select Close to exit.

Important:

The added seats will have the same subscription period as your existing active subscription plan, and charges will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.

Additionally, it is not possible to alter invoice details once a purchase is complete.

 

To add seats to an existing online subscription housed at id.unity.com, follow the steps below:

Note: The following steps are for online subscriptions only. If you purchased your subscription offline through the Unity sales team, contact your client partner directly to purchase additional licenses.
  1. Navigate to id.unity.com and sign into your account.
  2. Select Add Seats from the left side menu.
  3. Hover over the organization you want to add license seats to > click Add to continue.

  4. Using the blue '+' button, select how many seats you need to add to your subscription.
  5. Select the green Next button to continue to review your order.
  6. Review your commitment period and new price to the right of the screen, ensure all details are correct, and complete your purchase.
Important: It is not possible to alter invoice details once a purchase is complete.

Note: It is not possible to reduce the number of seats on a subscription that is still within the 12-month commitment period.
