Cause:
Certain publishers might violate copyrights unintentionally or include content that may not be licensed.
Resolution:
Reasons to Flag a Unity Asset:
- Copyright Infringement:
- The asset uses copyrighted material without permission
- The asset violates open-source licensing terms - Malicious Content:
- The asset contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- The asset includes inappropriate or offensive content - Misrepresentation:
- The asset's description significantly differs from its actual content
- The asset claims features or functionality it doesn't provide - Quality Concerns:
- The asset is non-functional or severely broken
- The asset is of extremely poor quality compared to its description - Policy Violations:
- The asset violates Unity's Terms of Service or Asset Store Policies
How to Flag a Unity Asset:
- Navigate to the asset's page on the Unity Asset Store
- Look for a "Flag" or "Report" option (usually near the asset details)
- Provide a detailed explanation of the issue
- Submit the flag
What Happens Next:
The Customer Experience team will review your flag. They may investigate the asset and contact the publisher if necessary. Appropriate action will be taken based on the investigation results.
