Unity subscriptions automatically renew after the initial period, with renewal terms depending on purchase date. Subscriptions bought before June 1, 2020 renew monthly; those after renew for 12 months unless auto-renew is off. Billable owners can change renewal settings via the Unity Cloud Dashboard or id.unity.com, choosing monthly or yearly payment options. Changes take effect after the current billing period. ✨️
Unity subscriptions renew automatically once the initial commitment period is over. What they renew into depends on when the subscription was bought:
- Unity Pro subscriptions purchased before June 1, 2020 renew into a flexible monthly subscription, which can be canceled at any time.
- Unity Pro subscriptions purchased after June 1, 2020 renew for another 12-month commitment period unless automatic renewal is switched off.
Online renewal is only available for subscriptions purchased through the Unity website. If you purchased through the Unity Sales team, contact your client partner directly.
Resolution:
If you are the billable owner of the organization, you can change how your subscription renews. You can choose to prepay for the year or pay in monthly installments.
Changing how your subscription renews in the Unity Cloud Dashboard
- Navigate to cloud.unity.com and sign in using your Unity ID credentials.
- In the left-hand menu, select Administration, then My Products.

Select the subscription you want to manage, for example, Unity Pro.
Note: If you cannot find your subscription listed on this page, it may be managed through the ID portal. Click here to jump to your resolution.

Select Configure.
- On the Plan Configuration page, choose one year paid monthly, or one year prepaid, and set your seat count.
- Select Confirm and review.
- Review how your subscription is set to renew, read the Unity Terms of Service and the applicable terms found on Unity's Legal information page, and the Unity Privacy Policy.
- Click the box to confirm and click Save configuration.
Your plan changes are completed after your subscription is scheduled to renew.
Changing how your subscription renews at id.unity.com
- Navigate to id.unity.com and sign in to the account your subscription is attached to.
- Select Organizations to the left of the screen.
- Select the organization holding the subscription you want to renew.

Under Subscriptions, select Manage, the cog icon.

- Select the Manage Subscription tab.
- Choose your renewal option and seat count, then select Save or Next to continue to the payment page.
- After selecting your renewal and seat options, click Next at the bottom of the page to move to the payment page.
Renewal options at id.unity.com are:
- Monthly, available only for subscriptions purchased before June 1, 2020.
- One year, paid monthly.
- One year, prepaid.
Decreasing your seat count will only take effect at the end of your current billing period.
