Symptoms:
- I would like to use Unity on a variety of different operating systems.
- Can I use Unity on two different machines?
Causes:
Users sometimes may want to use their licenses on different computers. For example, they may use Unity at home on a PC but at work, they use a Mac.
For information on build platforms, see the article, 'What platforms are supported by Unity?
Resolution:
Your Unity license will work on different platforms, no matter which license type you have.
The Unity Hub currently supports Windows 7 SP1+, 8, 10, 64-bit versions only; Mac OS X 10.13+; Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04, and CentOS 7.
See the Unity Manual for the current Editor system requirements.
Unity Personal users have an unlimited number of activations whereas Pro, Industry, and Enterprise users have two activations per license seat. Users are not strictly bound to a particular OS and can freely move between Windows, Mac, and Linux as they wish.
