If your Unity subscription does not activate after paying an overdue balance, this is usually because the original annual subscription was automatically cancelled after 60 days of non-payment.
1. Subscription Cancellation and Outstanding Balance
Unity license is an annual subscription with a one-year commitment.
If a payment fails, the following steps are applied according to our internal policy:
Payment Retries
Step-by-step notification emails and payment retries are attempted for up to 60 days.Service Suspension
If payment remains overdue for more than 13 days, access to the Unity Editor and subscription benefits is suspended.Automatic Cancellation
If payment is not completed within 60 days, the subscription is automatically cancelled to prevent further invoice generation.
Important
Even if the subscription is cancelled, you are still responsible for paying any outstanding balance incurred up to the cancellation date.
Paying the overdue balance does not automatically reactivate a cancelled subscription.
2. How to Resume Using Unity License
If your previous subscription has been cancelled, you will need to purchase a new Unity subscription to continue using the service.
To avoid service interruptions, please ensure your payment information is kept up to date.
If you experience issues when purchasing a new subscription or need help reviewing payment details, please contact the Unity Customer Experience team for further assistance.
