Will my Unity subscription renew automatically when I have finished my 12-month contract?

  • I would like to know if my Unity subscription will automatically renew after my 12-month subscription has finished.
  • My subscription contract is coming to an end.
Cause:
 
You may want to ensure that your subscription will continue or cancel after your last payment.
 
Resolution:
 
Important: Unity Plus licenses do not automatically renew and do not have an option to schedule their renewal.
 

Subscriptions purchased before June 1, 2020, automatically renew to a ‘flexible’ contract, which means you can cancel your subscription at any time. 

Subscriptions purchased after June 1, 2020, automatically renew for another 12-month contract. 

If you have purchased your subscription through direct contact with our Sales team, these do not automatically renew unless previously agreed. You must speak to your Unity Client Partner directly to arrange a renewal. 

If you do not want your subscription to renew at the end of your commitment period, you can cancel before the last contracted bill date. You can do this via the instructions outlined in the article 'How do I cancel my subscription?'

If you choose to allow your subscription to renew, you can make changes to the subscription in advance, such as selecting a different payment plan within your subscription management page. 

 

The resolution differs depending on where your Unity subscription is housed. If your subscription is housed under the Unity ID portal (id.unity.com), click here to jump to your resolution. 

 

Subscriptions housed under the Unity Cloud Dashboard

If your subscription is housed under the Unity Cloud Dashboard and you are the organization Owner, follow the steps below to see how your subscription will renew:

  1. Navigate to cloud.unity.com and sign in using your Unity ID credentials.
  2. Using the left-hand menu, select Administration > Subscriptions.

  3. Click on the Unity subscription you want to manage. For example, Unity Pro. (Note: If you cannot see your subscription here, it may be housed in the Unity ID portal. Click here to jump to your resolution.)
  4. The Overview tab shows when your subscription is due to automatically renew.

Subscriptions housed under the Unity ID portal

If your subscription is housed under id.unity.com and you are the Unity organization Owner, please follow the steps below to see how your subscription will renew: 

  1. Sign into your Unity ID.
  2. Select Organizations to the left of the screen.
  3. Select the organization that the subscription is linked to.
  4. Click Manage (cog icon) to the right of your subscription. (Note: If you cannot find your subscription listed on this page, it may be managed through the Cloud Dashboard. Click here to jump to your resolution.)
  5. The subscription page shows how much your next payment is and the date it is due to be charged.
