Why can I not remove the Splash Screen from my build?

Symptoms:

• I want to remove the 'Made with Unity' Splash Screen from my build.
• I am unable to remove the Unity Splash Screen from my project.

Cause:

The 'Made with Unity' Splash Screen plays while your game is loading. You may want to insert a custom splash screen or remove the splash entirely.

Resolution:

Unity Personal Plan users:

Unity Personal Plan users are unable to remove the Unity Splash Screen or Unity Logo from projects built in Editor versions prior to Unity 6.

Plus*, Pro, Enterprise, and Unity Industry Users:

If you have a Pro, Enterprise, Industry, existing Unity Plus* license, or you have a Personal license and your build is in Unity 6, you can remove the Unity Splash Screen by following the below steps:

1. Launch Unity > select Edit from the menu bar.
2. Select Project Settings.
3. Select Player from the left side menu.
4. Select Splash Image.
   
5. Check the box next to Show Splash Screen to remove the Unity Splash Screen.
   

If you have a Unity Plus*, Pro, Enterprise, or Industry license and the option to uncheck the box, as shown above, is not available, you may need to reactivate your license by following the steps in the article 'How do I activate my license?'.
