This doesnt seem to work when building for WebGL.  We get an initial  progress loader with a unity logo.  Disabling this in the player settings does not appear to work.  If we build for mobile platforms, the setting is being observed correctly

"Please note that if you are building to Android, you must have a splash screen for your build, whether the Unity Splash Screen, or a personal one, or both. Without a splash image, the Android build will not work."

Is this still correct? I disabled the splash screen completely on unity 2018.3 and it works on Android just fine.

I'm having the same problem Bilal had in the last post, I upgraded to plus 2 days ago and the show splash screen checkbox is still disabled. I checked and my editor has the plus license applied so do I need to do anything else?

I am having the same problem with my Plus account.  Also collaborate broke and can't get a ticket created for collaborate to help get our project going again. Can't get anything but an automated reply from Unity.

Hey Cog, so I got my problem fixed by Unity, with plus I think it takes a few days to get a reply but they replied to mine and the fix was pretty easy. When I upgraded I saw the new plus license appear inside my editor so I assumed it had been applied to my editor. I had to click on "manual activation" and then type in my license key and it instantly gave me the dark theme and splash screen was removable, etc. So your account and some things get upgraded automatically but your actual editor needs to be activated with the key. Hope this helps.

Why you don't understand that because the web is full of sh**ty games made with Unity(expecially the mobile store) because you force to show it for free users, now every time someone see the made with Unity logo, it lower the expectation of the game? It's just silly to still force personal users to show it!

Hello, Matteo. I don't think it lowers the expectations at all! It just means a firm or person doesn't have enough money for a better version of unity. Also, it helps unity get customers! If you can't advertise, how do you make money?

This is done in the Editor via Help > Manage License, then add the license serial key they sent in the email.

Really wish this splash screen was removed. People literally mock games that have this splash screen. Wise up Unity

    Hello Dave.

Derek from Unity Customer Service here. Thanks for your feedback.

I can completely understand why you feel this way towards the Our Engine's splash screen.

If you're not already aware, using Unity is completely free. The compromise is that if you choose to use this free version, having the splash screen is compulsory.

As I'm sure you will understand, we're giving away a great piece of software completely royalty-free, and we need to add some benefit to the paid licenses.

    We appreciate your understanding.

Despite that, we do really appreciate your feedback, and I have passed it along internally.

If you have any follow up questions, please feel free to reach out to support@unity3d.com

    All the best. Derek.
