You can change your Unity account email by signing in at id.unity.com or cloud.unity.com, navigating to Account Settings, editing your email, and verifying the new address. Ensure the new email isn’t linked to another Unity account. If you reach the five-change limit or lose access to your current email, contact Unity support with required private and public account information for assistance. Matching Unity and PlayStation emails is necessary for developer tool access.
| Note: If you misspelled your email address when creating a Unity ID, or you do not receive your confirmation email, contact the Customer Experience team. |
You can change the email address in your account settings by following the process below:
Navigate to id.unity.com or cloud.unity.com and sign in to your Unity account.
Select Settings; if you log in to id.unity.com, this will redirect you to the Unity Cloud Dashboard.
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select Account.
In the left-hand menu, select Account Settings.
Locate your email address and select the Edit (pencil icon).
For a Security Check, you will be prompted to re-enter your account password.
-
Select Edit Email and enter your new email address.
Note: The new email address must not be associated with another Unity account. If the email is already in use, you will see the error message: "This email is already used by another account."
-
A confirmation email will be sent to the new address. Click the Verify email link within that email to complete the process.
Note: If the email address was previously used and verified on this account, it may be updated immediately without an additional confirmation step.
Once verified, refresh your dashboard screen to confirm the changes.
Important Note on Logging In: When logging in with your updated email for the first time, do not use the "Sign in with Google" (or other social) options initially. Manually enter your new email address and password. If necessary, reset your password before logging in. After a successful manual login, you can then link and use Google sign-in for future access.
If you encounter any issues or have further questions, please contact the Customer Experience team.
