Symptoms:
- I want to update my payment method.
- I want to change the card/PayPal on my account.
- I want to add a new payment method to my account.
- I want to update the card attached to my subscription
- Payments for my subscription keep failing, how do I add a new card?
- I want to remove the payment card attached to my subscription
Cause:
To make purchases from your Unity account such as subscriptions, services, or on the Asset Store, Unity asks that you add a valid payment method to complete the order.
You may wish to add or change payment details to make the checkout process easier.
Resolution:
Provided that you are the billable owner of the Unity organization, you can use your account settings dashboard to update or add your payment method.

If you are updating your payment method on your subscription:

- Navigate to cloud.unity.com and sign in with your Unity ID credentials.

Using the left-hand menu, select Administration > Payment methods.

Click the blue Add payment method button.

Select the type of payment method you want to add. For example, Credit Card or PayPal, and enter your payment details > select Confirm.
Important: The billing address used for your transaction is your Unity organization address. Ensure your details are correct before proceeding. - Click the three dots to the right of the new payment method > select Assign to subscriptions.
- Select your subscription and click Confirm.
If your Unity subscription is housed at id.unity.com, follow the steps below:
- Sign in to your Unity ID at id.unity.com
- Select Organizations to the left of the screen.
- Select the organization with your subscription attached.
- Click Manage (cog icon) to the right of your subscription. (Note: If you’re unable to find your subscription listed on this page, it may be managed through the Cloud dashboard. Click here to jump to your resolution.)
- Select the Manage payment instrument tab.
- Click Update payment method.
Note: Payment instruments cannot be completely removed from an active subscription. |
