Users sometimes enter incorrect email domains when creating a Unity account, preventing confirmation emails from being delivered. To fix this, create a new account with the correct email, choose an alternative username, and contact Customer Experience for help with username release or license transfer. ✨️
Cause:
Users sometimes enter an incorrect domain name (such as writing @email.com instead of @gmail.com) when creating a Unity account. This error prevents our mailing server from delivering your account confirmation email.
Resolution:
If you register your Unity account with a misspelled email address, you cannot edit the address on the unconfirmed account. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Create a new Unity account using your correct email address.
- Select an alternative username during the registration process. The system reserves your original username for security.
- Contact the Customer Experience team if you require assistance releasing your original username or transferring licenses.
