Symptoms:
- Unable to log into Unity using Google Chrome despite being able to login on incognito mode or different browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari, etc.
- Error persists even after clearing browser data and reinstalling Chrome.
- Error message: "Conversation Invalid Transition".
- Console error: "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()".
Cause:
This issue may be limited to the default Google Chrome profile. Common causes include browser extensions or corrupted cached data, which can sometimes persist even after reinstalling Chrome.
Resolution:
- Disable Browser Extensions: Since Incognito mode typically runs without extensions, an active extension (such as an ad blocker, privacy tool, or VPN extension) is likely interfering with the authentication scripts. Kindly disable all extensions and try logging in again.
- Check for VPN/Proxies: If you have VPN or Proxy specifically configured within Chrome (rather than system-wide), it may be blocking the connection to Unity servers, causing the 403 error.
- Create a New Chrome Profile: If clearing cookies and disabling extensions fails, your Chrome profile data might be corrupted. You may try resolving it by creating a new Chrome user profile to see if the issue persists in a clean environment.
The above resolution should help to resolve the issue. However, if the problem persists, please contact the Unity Customer Experience team for further support.
